Visa Launches Payment Passkey Authentication in Ukraine for Faster and More Secure Transactions
KYIV, April 17, 2025 — Visa, a global leader in digital payments, announced that it has launched Visa Payment Passkey in Ukraine. Visa Payment Passkey allows consumers to verify their identity and authorize online payments with a quick scan of their biometrics like a face or fingerprint, helping make online transactions faster, easier, and more secure.
Visa’s partner GERC, a platform for online payments for utility bills, is the first in Ukraine to integrate Visa Payment Passkey into Click to Pay, using Fast Identity Online (FIDOTM) authentication standards.
After registering a card with Click to Pay, consumers can make purchases on all marketplaces featuring the service icon without filling out lengthy forms, entering card numbers, or remembering passwords.

Last year, Visa and GERC introduced a feature enabling the payment of utility and other services using Visa cards connected to Click to Pay. Since October 2024, consumers can conveniently and securely pay bills without entering card numbers.
