Projector Foundation launched the first training groups for women with the support of She's Next Empowered by Visa
KYIV, May 19, 2022 – Expanding the She’s Next Empowered by Visa global initiative in Ukraine, Visa supports the Projector Creative & Tech Foundation, which will provide free training to 5,000 female Ukrainians forced to flee abroad or displaced within the country in 2022.
Since the announcement of the training courses, the Foundation has already received more than 50,000 registrations from women with completely different stories and motivations. The first stream, which will include three educational groups, is to be implemented with the support of Visa within the global initiative She's Next Empowered by Visa:
- Motion design – 16 students.
- Mobile Apps Design – 20 students
- IT Project Management – 20 students
With this program, the company seeks to help women and girls look towards promising technological and creative professions - to work, be independent and integrate into the European creative & tech environment.
“After the launch of the foundation, we received significant support from the IT market and the creative cluster, individuals, opinion leaders and companies. Visa has given 56 women the opportunity to learn - and it's a great case of a responsible business and corporate position during the war," commented Oleksandr Trehub, CEO and Co-Founder of the Projector Institute.
"The Projector educational program, supported by Visa as part of the global She's Next Empowered by Visa initiative, will help women gain the knowledge and skills they need to start a new career or transform and further develop their business. Such assistance is extremely important for adaptation to new realities and further sustainable business development. In partnership with Projector and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, we strive to provide educational opportunities and support to as many women forced to seek new career paths as possible. We believe that this initiative will help each participant find a source of inner strength and inspiration for new projects", said Svitlana Chyrva, Visa Country Manager for Ukraine and Moldova.
The Foundation continues its fundraising campaign and invites international donors, companies, and individuals who wish to contribute to supporting Ukrainian women to cooperate.
